Proposals

Delivering new homes to support local need

Our vision for Wexham Grange and Gallions Park is to deliver much-needed new homes in a sustainable location in Wexham, Buckinghamshire. The proposals aim to help address the borough’s housing shortfall while creating a high-quality place to live, with access to open space, community facilities, and local amenities.

Buckinghamshire Council is currently unable to demonstrate a five-year supply of deliverable housing sites, highlighting the urgent need for new homes in the area. There are also over 7,000 households on the local housing waiting list – a figure that continues to grow.

Hawridge Land is committed to helping meet this need by delivering high-quality, sustainable homes of varying sizes and tenures, including a significant proportion of affordable housing, to meet local demand.

Key features

A sustainable, well-connected community

  • Up to 700 new homes across two sites: Approximately 450 homes on the Eastern parcel (Gallions Park), and approximately 250 new homes on the Western parcel (Wexham Grange).
  • 50% affordable housing, with discussions already underway to explore options for dedicated homes for key workers. A range of house sizes and types will be provided to meet the needs of the Buckinghamshire community.
  • Sustainable design and infrastructure, encouraging active travel and reducing reliance on cars. The site benefits from proximity to local amenities, including GP practices, hospitals, primary and secondary schools, and opportunities to enhance public transport provision.
  • Biodiversity enhancements, including new green spaces, planting, and habitats, alongside the retention and protection of existing natural features such as ancient woodland. A strong focus will be placed on accessible open space, particularly within the eastern parcel.

Golf course provision

Ensuring the long-term viability of Wexham Park Golf Centre

Wexham Park Golf Centre continually strives to evolve and adapt to ensure continuous improvement of their facilities, having recently invested in upgrades to the driving range, adventure golf and clubhouse facilities.

Subject to planning approval, the clubhouse, car park, driving range and adventure golf facilities will remain open to members, with events continuing as usual during construction and beyond. While potentially reducing the golf course provision to a single nine-hole course, the proposals will help secure the long-term future of the Centre for the benefit of the wider community.
